4 Real World Examples with Adobe Camera Raw

What is in this Adobe Camera Raw Video Tutorial?

After a four-part video tutorial series on Adobe Camera Raw, I demonstrate how simple basic image adjustments can be. Adjusting images in ACR can be as straightforward or as detailed as you need. Personally, I use the program primarily to white balance an image, make global light adjustments, and, minor selective adjustments before refining it further in Adobe Photoshop, where I have more control over color and other aspects of editing.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you my approach to using white balance and light adjustments, including how I flatten the overall tone of an image. Flattening helps reduce the highlights and brings out shadow details. Later, I can enhance the final image with a pop of contrast as a final layer adjustment in Adobe Photoshop.

To become proficient at toning or editing it takes about two years of practice. Example, a student takes bout 30 minutes to an hour to edit an image. It takes me 2-5 minutes to complete the same work. Time is money.
